Photo specifications for your business location

Make your business profile more appealing by adding photos of your storefront, products, and services. Photos help customers identify your business easily.

Each platform has specific photo requirements. Check the guidelines below to ensure your uploads meet the necessary standards.

Photo Types:

A location can have only one LOGO and one COVER type photo at any time. You can upload multiple photos of the ADDITIONAL type.

Here’s the details of image requirements for Google, Facebook and Apple business profiles:

Google

Logo (Object) Represents the logo image of the entity.

Image Requirements:

• Supported aspect ratio: 1:1
• Maximum file size: 5MB (after normalization and padding, if applicable)
• Download limit: Image must load within 6 seconds from the host server.

Google Cover Photo (Object) Represents the cover photo for the entity’s Google profile.

Image Requirements:

• Minimum size: 250 × 250 pixels

Google Photo Gallery (Array of Objects) Represents a collection of photos for an business’s profile.

Image Requirements:

• The list must be comprehensive, any previously sent photos not included in the update.
• The array must be ordered as provided.
• There’s maximum photos limit per request.
• Supported Aspect Ratios: 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 5:3, 16:9, 3:1, 2:3, 5:7, 4:5, 4:1

• Maximum file size: 5MB (after normalization and padding, if applicable).
• Download limit: Image must load within 6 seconds from the host server.

Facebook

Facebook Profile Photo (Object) Represents the profile picture for the entity’s Facebook profile.

Image Requirements:

• Minimum size: 180 × 180 pixels
• Maximum dimensions: 30,000 × 30,000 pixels
• Maximum area: 41,000,000 pixels (width × height)
• Supported aspect ratios: 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 5:3, 16:9, 3:1, 2:3, 5:7, 4:5, 4:1
• Maximum file size: 5MB (after normalization and padding, if applicable)
• Download limit: Image must load within 6 seconds from the host server.

Facebook Cover Photo (Object) Represents the cover photo for the entity’s Facebook profile.

Image Requirements:

• Displayed size: 851 × 315 pixels
• Minimum size: 400 × 150 pixels
• Maximum dimensions: 30,000 × 30,000 pixels
• Maximum area: 41,000,000 pixels (width × height)
• Supported aspect ratios:

Apple

Apple Cover Photo (Object) Represents the cover photo for the entity’s Apple profile.

Image Requirements:

• Maximum size: 4864 × 3163 pixels
• Supported aspect ratio: 154:100
• Maximum file size: 5MB (after normalization and padding, if applicable)
• Download limit: Image must load within 6 seconds from the host server.
